Photo Printing and Framing in Lagos

We print and frame photographs for customers in Lagos, and we do it entirely online. There is no shop to walk into and no showroom — you upload from your phone, set the picture up in your browser, pay with Paystack, and a finished framed print is delivered to the address you type at checkout. For a city where a straightforward errand can cost you an afternoon on the road, that is the main thing worth knowing.

The usual Lagos version of this job involves a print shop and a frame maker, a trip to hand over the file, a second trip to see a proof, a third to collect, and a framing charge that only appears at the end. Here the print and the frame are one price, quoted up front. A wall frame starts at ₦12,000 for an 8×8 inch and runs to ₦38,000 for a 16×16. Desk frames with an easel back start at ₦7,500. A photo box of up to 100 loose prints starts at ₦18,000. Delivery is free on orders over ₦40,000, and below that the charge is shown before you pay.

Lagos is one of the major cities on our delivery map, so orders here are 2–4 working days. We do not promise a same-day drop, a time slot or a specific date, because we would be promising something we do not control. What does help, and it helps here more than almost anywhere, is the address you write. Give the estate or building name, the closest landmark, and a phone number somebody will actually pick up — Lagos deliveries succeed or fail on whether a rider can find a gate and reach you when he gets there.

The bigger reason this suits Lagos is the walls. Most people here are renting, plenty are in serviced flats or sharing, and the standard tenancy takes a dim view of holes in the plaster. Our wall frames do not use nails. Each one has adhesive on the back: peel it, press it to the wall, and there is no drilling, no rawl plug and nothing for an agent to point at during an inspection. Frames lift off and reposition, so you can adjust the spacing by eye instead of committing to it with a drill. And when the lease ends — which in this city is often sooner than you planned — the frames peel away and move with you. Nothing about a Lagos rental is permanent, and the photographs on the wall no longer have to pretend otherwise.

Lagos flats are also, mostly, not large. That points to specific sizes. A cluster of 8×8s does more for a small sitting room than one big frame does, because it fills the wall without dominating it — six of them in a grid is ₦72,000, five in a row above a sofa is ₦60,000. A corridor between bedrooms is dead space in nearly every flat here and takes a row of frames beautifully. A single 12×12 above a console at ₦22,000 is the smallest thing you can do that still changes a room. In a self-contained or a shared flat where the wall is not really yours to redesign, desk frames on a shelf are the version that needs no permission at all.

Light is the other local factor. Lagos daylight is bright and it moves around a room, and by afternoon it is usually landing on precisely the wall you hung everything on. Every print is made on museum-grade matte paper, which does not throw glare back at you the way gloss does and does not hold fingerprints. It is the right surface for this city, and it is what everything is printed on by default.

There is a Lagos-specific problem the photo box solves, too: the phone with four thousand photographs on it and nothing printed since a wedding. Loose prints are bundle-priced rather than charged per print — twenty-five 4×6s for ₦18,000, fifty for ₦30,000, a hundred for ₦52,000 — which works out at around ₦520 each at the top tier. It is the cheapest way to get years of pictures out of a device and into a box somebody can actually pass around.

Before you order, you can put the frames on your own wall on screen. Upload a photograph of the wall and the preview shows your frames on it at true size, in a grid or a row, so the arrangement is settled before anything is printed. The editor also crops, straightens and filters, offers twelve frame finishes at the same price, and checks every upload against the exact size you chose so a photograph that would print soft is flagged before you pay rather than after it arrives.

Payment is by Paystack in Naira. Delivery to Lagos addresses is 2–4 working days; addresses a long way outside the metro fall into the 5–8 working day band that covers the rest of Nigeria.
